If you can’t read, the opportunities in the world are much smaller.

If you can’t use the internet, what does that mean to your life?

Howard Rheingold has been thinking about digital literacy for 25 years. He just started a blog about it. The line from his first post that struck me the most was this:

“What we know and what we teach our children about how to critically consume and collaboratively create online media matters.”

It does matter.
